...the Don Giovanni Opera Painting Series

I was delighted with the opportunity and the space. I had a prop filled room that I managed to climb into at the very back of the theater at Bakersfield College.

I had brought a small 60 watt lamp that I plugged into the wall a few feet behind me. I peered through a thick-walled hole that must be there to house a spotlight. It worked really well to lean my paint panels on. I knew, from seeing the opera the Friday before, which scenes I had to grab. I was in painter heaven!!!

I kept tossing paintings into the dark room behind me and when the opera concluded I took them outside and threw them onto the sidewalk. I'm sure nobody saw them ...but I don't care. It completed, for me, what was a PERFECT ART EVENT. Painting and music coming together, immediately there for the lovers of art to enjoy. Painting is GREAT! This set I still have and I am looking for the right person to purchase and preserve them.
